I’m glad and surprised to find this thread. I studied with Richard Pick from about 1981 through 1983. He had a studio in the Fine Arts Building on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Wonderful old building with ballet students pirouetting down the hallways, cellists on the stairs, tenors running scales in rooms down the hallway.
Richard was a fine teacher, perhaps more so than technical guitarist.

As an entirely (and poorly) self-taught musician, taking actual lessons with him was a bit of a cold bath.
